Man wants to know the unknown and see the unseen. He wants to see with his own eyes and touch with his own hands. Books and pictures can not completely satisfy his needs. So there is a lust for travel. Early people travelled for food and trade.

 Travelling teaches us better than books. For, we know a thing better by seeing than by reading about it. Travelling gives us knowledge of the country we visit. Travelling tells us about the soil, climate and culture of the people of the place. 

The knowledge of geography and history taught in the class becomes real by travel. Thus we learn from our experience. Travelling brings us close to nature. It helps us to exchange our hearts with people of the place. It promotes universal brotherhood. It broadens our mind. It develops tourism and economy of the country.
