BALANCED DIET
All people need food for life. Our poor people are not aware of balanced diet. They eat whatever they get. Most people eat too much carbohydrate like rice and wheat. They take less protein and vitamins.
Too much carbohydrate is bad for health. So people must take balanced diet. Balanced died includes protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and water. A balanced diet must consist of all six.
Our common foods such as rice, bread, potatoes are the main source of carbohydrates. Proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals come mainly from fish, meat and milk. They are to be taken in smaller quantities.
Milk, eggs, vegetables and fruit are rich in vitamins. However, all types of food must be taken for the growth of the body and to keep it fit. A want of balanced diet makes a man weak.
